Elaboration of Cooperation Between European and Central Asian Law Enforcement Academies
LEICA supported a visit to Police academies of Central Asia Countries (CAC) by the director of the Department of International Cooperation and Partnership of the French Ecole National Superieure de la Police. The Director of LEICA project accompanied him in his visit to CAC.
The visit was made (between 14-26 July 2021) to police academies of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, and it paved the way for future cooperation with French and other EUMS police academies.
Project Steering Committee
LEICA Project Steering Committee held on 15 June 2021 in Bishkek
The Project Steering Committee meeting was organized on 15 of June 2021 with a hybrid combination of online/offline participation. 41 participants including representatives of the five Central Asia countries (Turkmenistan and Tajikistan participated online) and representatives of relevant EU Delegations, EU Commission, CIVIPOL, ISEMI and INTERPOL.
The first PSC meeting was a success, in terms of the number of participants and level of representation, and also taking into account the positive remarks given by the Central Asia countries' representatives during their interventions. It paved the way for the implementation phase starting from September 2021.
